The faculty of agriculture of Cairo organized during July, 2 professional training courses for managers and agents of the Egyptian ministry of agriculture from 14 till 17 July 2008, a first session concerned the subject " diagnosis approach and identification of needs " from 26 till 31 July, the second training courses on " Elaboration of project and program of development "
Each training course was organize for 22 participants.

  May 20th 2008  
Further to the process introduced during the worshop FORMDER, a meeting of reflection on the training courses on rural evelopment (in economical, sociological and geographical approaches ) took place in the IAMM of Montpellier. Teachers-researchers of 7 establishments of superior education met with professionals of the rural development to discuss the future of the training courses in this domain, the new stakes and the possibilities of evolution.
The meeting ended in a will to pursue this collaboration in network by integrating professionals and institutions of the South of the Mediterranean Sea.

Organization of workshops on the project FORMDER, on
January 14th in Cairo and on January 17th in the IAM of Montpellier. Access to the report
These workshops have for objective to call a meeting of professors of the university, professionals and others institution in link with the rural development to present them the approach of FORMDER and the actions realized during this project. These worshops aims for the sustanability of the results of the project and to develope new partnerships.
       
  November 15th, 2007  
Dimitris Goussios professor of the rural space laboratory will present a lecture on the subject: "planning and rural development". This conference will be simultaneously diffused to the students and the teachers of three institutions partners of the project : Cairo university (Egypt),Agronomic and veterinarian Hassan II institute of Rabat (Morocco) and Mediteranean Agronomic Institut of Montpelier (France).

5th meeting of follow-up of the project by video conference to see the agenda and the report

Extension of the duration of the project FORMDER until February, 2008. The European Commission approved the demand of extension of the project for a period of 6 supplementary months consider held by the institutional and administrative constraints met by the partners.
       
  From 6 till 20 May 2007  
Organization of intensive courses for the Egyptian students and the professor at the University of Thessalie-Volos.
One training session entitled " Tools of spatial representation " is organized by the Laboratory of rural space of the University of Thessalie-Volos. Eleven Egyptian students and a professor from the Rural Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Agriculture of Cairo, partner of the project, will follow this intensive course during two weeks.

  March 20th, 2007  
The activities of FORMDER project was advanced by the national office Tempus Egypte during the meeting of the HEEPF (Higher Education Enhancement Project Fund) about the strategy of improvement of the higher education in Egypt at the Al-Azhar University of Cairo.
Posters and brochures FORMDER were presented to all the participants on the Tempus booth.

3rd video conference tempus FORMDER
The Professor Mohamed H.A. Nawar of the Department of Rural Sociology of the Faculty of Agriculture of Cairo (Egypt) will make an intervention on the subject: "leadership and rural development".
This conference will be simultaneously diffused to the students and the teachers of three institutions partners of project :
University of Thessalie Volos (Greece),Agronomic and veterinarian Hassan II institute of Rabat (Morocco) and IAM Montpelier (France)

  November 30th, 2006  
On the occasion of a mission led to Cairo, Mrs Tahani Abdelhakim, coordinator of the FORMDER project, met the students of the post graduate diploma " Elaboration and Evaluation of the projects of rural development ", in the Faculty of Agriculture of Cairo University.
This meeting took place within the computer laboratory set up by the project.
Mr Nawar, FORMDER project coordinator in Egypt and Mrs Abdelhakim presented to the students, the conditions of organization of the mobility which will take place in March 2007 at the university of Thessalie-Volos and\or at the IAMM.

This conference will be simultaneously diffused to the students and the professors of the other partners institutions: IAM of Montpelier, University of Thessalie / Volos and University of Cairo.
